Greetings Integrity Does Matter™️ Followers. Welcome to today’s “Integrity Insights Moment” Blog. Today, we would like to share with you “Core Values For Developing Your Integrity.” Let’s talk about an important core value called “Self-Care.” Whenever the topic of self-care is mentioned, it has been perceived by many as being selfish and putting yourself ahead of others, which is further from the truth. Self-care is defined as, “the practice of taking an active role in protecting one's own well-being and happiness, in particular during periods of stress.” We have a natural propensity to care for others. However, we often neglect the importance of taking care of ourselves. The importance of self-care requires establishing and enforcing healthy boundaries mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. When principles of self-care are put into practice, wellness becomes a way of life and integrity becomes the foundation of how you live. Here are three keys to put into practice for self-care when you are developing your integrity:
(1). Be Good To Yourself.
Learn how to say good things about yourself. The words you speak about yourself, be it positive or negative, can become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
(2). Take Care Of Yourself.
Making self-care a priority is paramount for developing your integrity. Implement a daily practice of dedicating intentional time to care for yourself.
(3). You Owe It To Yourself.
When self-care is seen as something that is needed and necessary, you are willing to invest the time to do what must be done. Investment in who you want to become requires time and commitment.
So today, make yourself a priority and begin to put self-care into practice. The benefits you receive far outweigh the sacrifice. And remember, “How You Live Your Life Says More About You Than You Could Ever Say About Yourself…Why…Because “Integrity Does Matter™️”.
